The luxury brand angered many fans when then its namesakes, Mr. Steffano and Mr. Gabbanna, had some cruel words to say about children of same-sex families. The comments resulted in a major backlash, with Sir Elton leading the pack of protesters. The singer called for a boycott, with Courtney Love and others taking to social media to show their support.
Now, the designers are realizing the rammifications of their actions, acknowledging the financial trouble that may come.
