Let’s face it: donuts will never, ever get old. This green tea
variety is the perfect treat when served along an iced latte and a fashion magazine. Yum!
1 1/4 cup of flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder
2/3 cup of oil
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Inside a bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients (first 5 listed above). Inside another bowl, combine the wet ingredients. Pour them inside the bowl along with dry and mix them until they are just combined. Fill a greased donut pan until it is 2/3 full with the batter and bake it at 350°F for about 12-14 minutes.
To prepare the glaze, whisk together 2 cups of the powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of the matcha green tea powder and 1/4 cup of boiling water. Add one teaspoon of macha powder for a subtle taste and mix, the dip donuts in halfway.
